Note: John Burt Jr. walked across the plains when he was about 10 years old with a covered wagon company. He was a good athlete. He started a baseball team in theSalt Lake Valley. The same team that Heber J. Grant joined as a young person.The team became a popular and prominent part of the pioneer scene of that time.
